LEAF VARIATIONS- COLLABORATIVE ACTIVITY

While some of the students were at the Inter School Athletics, the remaining Room 5 and 6 combined to engage in a collaborative learning activity matching leaf pictures and using their key features to label them.
Those who had just been away at Camp Rangiwood were able to make the connections with this activity and the variety of trees and shrubs etc the saw in the bush.
Great discussions were had distinguishing between the terms native, endemic and exotic.
What great akonga these kids are!!!
