Kiwi Art Day 2

Today we have begun our bush scenes. We have been sketching and practicing using pastels in a variety of ways for effect. We have given classmates some feedback and feed forward.Looking forward to seeing the finished products.

Education outside the Classroom

Some of Room 5, with a little help from some friends from Room 1, have been busy tidying up the vegetables gardens. Today they have plants some carrot seeds.

Crafting our Writing.

This week in writing, we have been drafting , crafting and now some of us are publishing. 
We have been learning  about Word Choice. Our learning goal is to use words that are just right and say exactly what we wanted to say. Our theme has been 'When I am...'.

Swimming

Thus week we have begun our  twice weekly swimming classes. The groups are all running well and the children are all working towards being safe, happy and more competent in the water. Keep up all your great efforts kids!

Room 5 Assembly Week 3

Peace be with you. This was the theme for Room 5s Assembly last Friday.  We  an all be peacemakers through our words and actions. To finish we all exchanged a Sign of Peace with a handshake using the words "Peace be with you."
"And also with you" was the reply. 
May we all do our part towards bringing peace to the people we encounter in our lives.

Literacy Block

During our Literacy Block, Room 5 are engaged in a variety of learning activities.
Reading and Writing are making and creating meaning.
Room 5 are awesome learners.
